Pilier d’Or

The Association des gestionnaires de parcs immobiliers institutionnels (AGPI) awarded this prize in the “Technical and Innovation Merit” category to Mr. Paul-Émile Trudeau, engineer and Director of Technical Services at the Institut, during the AGPI congress in Boucherville on October 2 and 3, 2007.

Prix Beccaria

The Institut’s Director of Research Mr. Gilles Côté received the Prix Beccaria on May 23, 2007, during the 33rd annual congress of the Société de criminologie du Québec. This award was in recognition of Mr. Côté’s important contribution to criminology publications and the advancement of knowledge in the field. It is a testament to the quality of his work and expertise, and reflects positively on the Research Centre and the Institut.

Prix Noël-Mailloux

Head of the Department of Scientific Activities and Criminology Mr. Richard Lusignan won the Prix Noël-Mailloux on May 23, 2007, during the 33rd annual congress of the Société de criminologie du Québec. This award reflects Mr. Lusignan’s dedication to the Institut as well as the correctional and university fields. Esteemed professor and exceptional leader, he has long been a source of inspiration for colleagues.

Prix d’humanisme Jacques-Voyer

Awarded by the Association des médecins psychiatres du Québec, this prize was presented to Ms. Lisette Guérin at the association’s 40th annual congress, held June 14 to 17, 2006. Ms. Guérin is a member of the Board of Directors at the Institut, and was honoured for her dedication to the field of patient reintegration.

Prix d’excellence du RSSS

The Institut was awarded this recognition in the category of “Care Personalization” for our “Towards a smoke-free hospital” project. Launched in 2003, this project aimed to mobilize and encourage patients and personnel to quit smoking in what is a work environment for some and a living environment for others. Since October 31, 2005, the Institut national de psychiatrie légale Philippe-Pinel has been a proudly non-smoking facility.

Prix d’excellence du RSSS

Institut national de psychiatrie légale Philippe-Pinel partner Le Mûrier Inc. received the Prix d'excellence Partenariat for 2004-2005 for the Résidence Le Jalon, which was built specifically for women with mental-health issues, personality disorders, and criminal records. This award was also shared by Hôpital Louis-H. Lafontaine, Institut national de psychiatrie légale Philippe-Pinel, and the Ministry of Public Security.
