Internships for foreign students are for students from universities outside Québec who are admissible for clinical internships and enrolled in a:
- Master’s of Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology program (e.g. master 2)
- PhD program in Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology program (e.g. Clinical PhD, Psy. D)
Students must have already completed internships and/or a first work placement in general psychiatry and have satisfactory knowledge of French and English to be eligible.
Internships are available for a minimum of 300 hours and a maximum of 1,600 hours.
All costs and procedures related to a request for a visa and completion of an internship are the sole responsibility of the applicant.

* Exceptionally, for the 2020-2021 year, there will be no program available for clinical neuropsychology.
The file must contain the following:
- Form for Internship for Foreign Students (French only)
- Letter of presentation
- CV specifying clinical experience and supervision received (professional milieu, type of clientele)
- Copy of university transcripts
- Copy of the agreement between the university of origin and the Québec university (e.g. internship or work placement agreement)
- Two letters of reference

Files must be received no later than December 9, 2019. All files will be studied by supervising psychologists, who will conduct selection interviews in January. Different interview options are available, including Skype and FaceTime. Final selections will be communicated on the date selected by the APPIC.
